Since 2002, Dr. Michael Kersey has been helping patients of all ages achieve a beautiful and confident smile. Dr. Kersey obtained his Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree in 1996 from the University of British Columbia and worked for three years as a General Dentist in Vernon. He then acquired his orthodontic specialty training and Master of Science from the University of Alberta in 2002 after 2.5 years of full time graduate school. Participating in post-graduate residencies and obtaining his master^’s degree allowed Dr. Kersey to develop greater expertise in the specialty of orthodontics.

Dr. Kersey stays on the cutting edge of the latest advancements in orthodontics by maintaining memberships with numerous prestigious organizations such as the:

Canadian Association of Orthodontists

American Association of Orthodontists

British Columbia Society of Orthodontists

Canadian Dental Association

British Columbia Dental Association

Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists

Vernon Dental Association

Dr. Kersey is also a Fellow of the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia.

In his personal life, Dr. Kersey is married and has three sons. He volunteers as a soccer coach and an Alpine ski coach. He enjoys Alpine skiing, cross country skiing, cycling, recreational hockey, camping and hiking.
