Dr. Robert Elliott grew up in Bowmanville, Ontario, and attended Queen University in Kingston, where he received his Undergraduate Degree (BA). He later received his Degree in Dentistry (DDS) from the University of Western Ontario. After two years of practice, Dr. Elliott returned to school to pursue his Graduate Orthodontic Degree (MCID), and joined Dr. Frank Lo orthodontic practice in 1993. Dr. Elliott is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO). Dr. Elliott is also a clinical instructor in the orthodontic graduate program at the University of British Columbia.
When he not providing smile-enhancing services to his patients, Dr. Elliott likes to get outside for some skiing and cycling, and spends as much time as he can with his family.
A family business with deep roots in the community, the Lo Elliott legacy began back in 1965, when Dr. Frank Lo founded The Lakewood Dental Group in Prince George. He practiced as a general dentist until 1979, when he decided to pursue his accreditation as a Certified Specialist in Orthodontics. He founded his orthodontic practice in 1981, and was joined by Dr. Robert Elliott in 1993, and his daughter, Dr. Francine Lo, four years later. Today, husband and wife team Dr. Francine Lo and Dr. Robert Elliott continue the family legacy started by the now-retired Dr. Frank Lo. Through continued education, they strive to operate a progressive practice and support one another in the pursuit of orthodontic excellence and advanced patient care. Both orthodontists are members of the Edward H. Angle Society–an internationally recognized, invitation-only orthodontics study club. They also teach as clinical faculty in the Graduate Orthodontic Program at UBC.
